October Meeting - 'The Lumberjills - Stronger Together' with Joanna Foat

Come and listen to Joanna Foat talk about the often forgotten, dedicated army of women who took on heavy manual labour, foresting and logging, during WW2. Find out what life was like for the Lumberjills in the 1940s, how they pioneered new fashion for women and why Joanna has been so inspired by them.
The meeting will also cover business issues, but still leave time for refreshments and the raffle.
As this is our birthday meeting we will be singing Jerusalem and have invited members to bake a cake or traybake to bring to the meeting. Please remember to let Liz know if you can bring a baked item and don't forget to bring it to the meeting.
