After a career as a senior civil servant in Whitehall, Pat began her guiding life as a City of London Green Badge Guide in 2019. With a group of friends, she set up the award-winning City walking company ‘Six in the City’ which delivers innovative and inspirational tours that have been featured by the Guardian, the BBC, ITV and other media.
Pat then qualified as a South East England Blue Badge Guide in 2024. She takes great pleasure in introducing visitors to the beauty and diversity of this quintessentially English region.
Pat's talk will focus on The Bloomsbury Group in Sussex.
This includes the homes of Virginia Woolf at Monk’s House, where many artists, writers and thinkers visited, and that of her sister Vanessa Bell, Charleston Farm, the weekend getaway for the Woolfs, Lytton Strachey, EM Forster and TS Elliot among others.
There will also be time for refreshments, socialising and the raffle.
