Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

Sunday 01 March 2026

March is Ovarian Cancer awareness Month.

Ovarian cancer is a significant health concern in the UK, with approximately 7,500 women diagnosed annually. This equates to about one woman receiving a diagnosis every hour. The disease predominantly affects older women, with around 82% of cases diagnosed in those over the age of 50.

As a WI, Sullington Windmills will be raising awareness around the village. Please look out for knicker bunting and information, and engage in conversations about ovarian cancer's subtle signs and symptoms where you can.
