Every March, WI members across West Sussex raise awareness of the subtle signs of ovarian cancer.
In 2023, knicker bunting was strung and white roses of hope were placed in local shops, together with information leaflets.
In 2025, knicker bunting was strung in villages and at train stations across West Sussex.
Every day 11 women die of this disease and we continually encourage women to seek early diagnosis and not to ignore: persistent stomach ache, difficulty eating/feeling full more quickly, persistent bloating and needing to wee more frequently.
If you or a loved one experiences one or more of these symptoms, and they are persistent and increasingly frequent, or a change that isn’t normal for you, speak to your GP.
