Margaret gave only a brief history of the harp and focused instead on informing us about her own instrument and experiences, including witty stories. We learned about the pedal mechanism, the weight and cost of a harp, how Margaret manages to transport such a large instrument, how versatile harp music really is, plus much more.
We had a full hour of seasonal harp music and information. The pieces of music played by Margaret were varied and sometimes most unexpected, some traditional Christmas tunes and some much more modern.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
