As in previous years we were able to enter two separate teams into the annual WSFWI Federation Quiz.
Last year one of our teams won the afternoon event at Fittleworth Village Hall, so the pressure was on.
It was a hot day and the hall was filled with teams ready to answers questions. Refreshments were needed and were thankfully provided and served by the ladies of West Chiltington WI.
The quiz itself started bang on time and consisted of 8 rounds, each of 10 questions. There was also a separate 'ongoing' quiz of one paper worth 20 marks.
As a team we found the quiz quite challenging this year and as a result neither of the Sullington Windmills teams A or B appeared in the top three. However, the scores were very tight (and quite low, reflecting the difficulty of the questions) and team A were within 6 marks of the winning score.
A really nice afternoon with an opportunity to meet with friends, challenge your brain cells and learn something new.
