Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to bake the gingerbread or parkin that I had planned for November.
I am sorry to say that we had a very empty cake tin!
However, I am sure that December will easily make up for it.
** NEXT MONTH**
December is an extremely busy baking month. Not only are there the usual Christmas Cake, Mince Pies and Christmas Puddings to make, but I usually also make some edible gifts for neighbours, family and friends.
Every year I plan on making stollen and then end up running out of time. I think that the same is going to happen this year. However, I do plan on making my usual Christmas Rocky Road (as it is requested by family members) and, new for this year, Panettone Biscuits to a Good Housekeeping recipe.
If there’s time before the BIG day, I might also make some Pistachio Amaretti.
I am not going to suggest that anyone follows along this month, or tries any particular recipe, as I am sure that you will have plenty to be getting on with. However, I will post some festive photos of my bakes and hope that you enjoy all the wonderful, indulgent treats that the season brings.
Merry Christmas and Season’s Eatings !
